Get ready to travel back in time with a walking, growling T-Rex, the dinosaur that was truly feared by all. The event will include a presentation with live animals dating back to prehistoric times, as well as a walking adult T-Rex, Blue the walking Velociraptor, a selection of baby handheld dinosaurs and dinosaur props. Also join PMAG’s Natural Science Collections Team to handle real and replica fossils, find out about the fossils you can see in your local area and learn what birds have in common with their dinosaur ancestors. 11am – 4pm, included with museum admission.
Free with normal museum admission charges.
What is your favourite dinosaur? Ever heard of the Pasta-saurus? Come to the museum and have a go at making a dinosaur with clay and pasta. Drop-in 13.30 -15.00. Cost £3 per child plus normal museum admission.

To celebrate Heritage Open Days the museum will open to the public free of charge. Visitors can experience what conditions were like for the men, women and children who worked at the centre of the world’s pottery industry. See the Tile Gallery featuring one of the best decorative tile collections in the country and ‘Flushed with Pride’ a remarkable gallery dedicated to the history of the toilet.
